Is it permissible for a Muslim to inherit from his deceased non-Muslim uncle, who has no other heir, for the purpose of spending the inheritance on charitable causes?

A Muslim does not inherit from a disbeliever, nor does a disbeliever inherit from a Muslim, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "A Muslim does not inherit from a disbeliever, nor does a disbeliever inherit from a Muslim." This includes inheritance with the intention of giving it away as charity. Thus, a Muslim is not obligated to inherit from a disbeliever, but if the money is given to him, he should dispose of it in charitable ways.
