Is it true that the incident of the envoy of Khosrow entering upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) occurred, and the Prophet said to him, "Who commanded you to do this?" after seeing his mustache and shaven beard, and the envoy replied, "My lord Khosrow commanded me," whereupon the Prophet took hold of his noble beard and said, "As for me, my Lord commanded me to do this"?

The summary of the story is that Chosroes sent two men to bring the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to him. When they entered upon him, they had shaved their beards and let their moustaches grow long. He disliked looking at them and said: "Woe to you both! Who commanded you to do this?" They said: "Our lord commanded us to do this (meaning Chosroes)." Thereupon, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "But my Lord has commanded me to let my beard grow and to trim my moustache."
