Is the failure to use certain things (such as cream and soap) out of laziness until their expiration considered extravagance and forbidden?

If items that are being utilized are left until they are damaged without intent or negligence, then there is no sin in that. However, if the damage is due to intent or negligence, such as buying something unnecessary or giving it to others until it is damaged, then the one who does so is sinful for wasting money. The Prophet, peace be upon him, disliked wasting money, which is squandering it and spending it in unauthorized ways, and failing to preserve it when preservation is possible.
