Is the statement attributed to Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen valid, that the supplication "O Allah, I ask You for intimacy in Your proximity" brings about four qualities for the believer? And is the supplication "O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in the matter..." among the prophetic supplications, and is what was attributed to Ibn Baz regarding the virtue of this supplication correct?

The supplication "Allahumma inni as'aluka al-unsa bi qurbik (O Allah, I ask You for intimacy with Your closeness)" has not been found in the Sunnah or from the Salaf (pious predecessors), and the students of Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen deny its attribution to him. As for the supplication "Allahumma inni as'aluka ath-thabata fi al-amr... (O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in the matter...)", it is a confirmed Prophetic supplication, narrated by Ahmad, Tirmidhi, and Nasa'i from Shaddad ibn Aws, may Allah be pleased with him. The explanation of the supplication is as follows: "Steadfastness in the matter" means persistence in religion and uprightness; "resolve for righteousness" means seriousness in performing good deeds; "gratitude for Your blessing" means being granted success to show gratitude; "goodness in Your worship" means performing it in a way that is pleasing to Allah; "a truthful tongue" means one preserved from lying; "a sound heart" means one free from corrupt beliefs and desires; "I seek refuge in You from the evil of what You know" is a comprehensive seeking of refuge from all evil; and "I seek Your forgiveness for what You know, for You are the Knower of the unseen" is a request for forgiveness.
