How can we reconcile His saying, the Most High: "We have not neglected in the Register a thing," with His saying, the Most High: "And We revealed to you the Reminder that you may make clear to the people what was sent down to them," especially since scholars have specialized Hadith for wisdom and the Qur'an for knowledge?

The interpretation of "wisdom" (al-Hikmah) in the verse: "And He teaches them the Scripture and Wisdom" (Qur'an 2:129) relies on linguistic and early Islamic (Salaf) transmissions. Many exegetes, such as Ibn Kathir and Al-Baydawi, interpreted it as the Sunnah, and this is supported by the mention of "the Scripture" (the Qur'an) before it, which prevents redundancy. Al-Tabari views wisdom as either the Sunnah, knowledge of the religion and its jurisprudence, or intellect in religious matters. According to Al-Tabari, the correct view is that wisdom is the knowledge of Allah's rulings that are learned through the Prophet's (peace be upon him) explanation. It is derived from distinguishing between right and wrong, and it signifies accuracy in speech and action. Thus, the verse means that the Messenger teaches them the Qur'an and Allah's rulings detailed in his Sunnah.
