Does the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, mean by his saying: "Reduce, but do not exhaust, for it is more radiant for the face and more pleasing to the husband," that the clitoris remaining is more radiant, or that its reduction is more radiant?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded female circumcision and forbade excess in it (exaggeration). Circumcision reduces a woman's sexual desire and fortifies her. As for exaggeration, it weakens her sexual desire, which may lead to her disliking intercourse and to the loss of her facial radiance and freshness.
