What is the ruling regarding Muslim women who wear the cross for protection from evil spirits, devils, and jinn, and what is Islam's stance on the veneration of the cross?

It is not permissible for a Muslim to wear anything specific to disbelievers. The prohibition becomes even more severe if the attire is a cross, as it signifies an affirmation of falsehood. Whoever wears it out of love or inclination towards its wearers may be considered an apostate from Islam, as stated in "Mukhtasar Khalil al-Maliki" regarding apostasy. Muslim women who have done this must repent to Allah, and they should know that this action brings fear and the dominance of devils, as Allah Almighty says: "We will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved for what they associated with Allah that for which He had not sent down any authority. And their refuge will be the Fire, and wretched is the residence of the wrongdoers" (Aal Imran: 151). The Muslim's stance on the cross and other manifestations of polytheism is one of rejection. However, an individual is not judged to be an apostate unless evidence is established, conditions are met, and impediments are absent. This is the prerogative of the judiciary.
