Is my application of the rule "impurity does not transfer from a dry impurity when it touches something wet" correct in the cases of a shoe with a dry impurity touching water and then walking on the house floor, and in the case of water falling on a rug with a dry impurity?

If the earth becomes impure and then dries out in the sun, losing all trace of the impurity, it becomes pure. If water then touches it, its impurity does not return, according to the more correct opinion among the Hanafis. However, surfaces other than earth, such as carpets and shoes, do not become pure by drying. If they are affected by impurity, then dry out, and then become wet, this wetness is considered impure and will contaminate anything it touches.
