Is it obligatory to obey one's parents if they refuse polygyny?

It may even become obligatory for someone for whom one wife is insufficient to safeguard his chastity. The fundamental principle is the obligation to obey parents, except in disobedience to Allah, and this includes obeying them in matters of marriage. Therefore, it is obligatory to obey your parents in forsaking polygyny, unless it becomes obligatory for you. It is also advisable to discuss with them and explain the wisdom behind polygyny.
