Does my annoyance with my father's provoking jokes, which sometimes turn into anger, count as undutifulness? And what is the solution?

Allah commanded us to address our parents with politeness, gentleness, and humility, and He forbade us from scolding them or speaking harshly to them, as He says: "So do not say to them, 'uff,' and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word. And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, 'My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.'" It is obligatory to avoid angering the father, even if he is joking, and it is not permissible to harm him by word or deed, because harm may be considered disobedience (uquq) if the parent is hurt by it. Showing kindness to one's father is among the best acts of righteousness that Allah loves, for "the parent is the middle door of Paradise, so if you wish, you may lose this door or preserve it."
