Is it permissible for a girl to travel alone by plane to complete her university studies in another country, knowing that her father will take her to the airport, and her paternal uncle and maternal uncle will be there to receive her?

The majority of scholars are of the opinion that it is impermissible for a woman to travel without a mahram, except out of necessity, such as migrating from a land of disbelief (dar al-kufr) to a land of Islam (dar al-Islam). Some scholars have permitted travel without a mahram when there is no fear of fitna (temptation or discord), especially if the travel is by airplane. Therefore, if it is possible for a mahram to travel, it is preferable and more cautious. However, if that is difficult and the journey is safe, there is no objection to adopting the view of those who permit it.
