Is reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas and dedicating its reward to the deceased at the time of burial from the Sunnah?

Reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas eleven times over the deceased is not from the Sunnah and was not transmitted from the Salaf; rather, it is an innovation. What was transmitted from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is to pray over the deceased, then bury him, and seek forgiveness and supplicate for him after burial. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever performs a deed that is not in accordance with our command, it shall be rejected." And the hadith about reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas eleven times over the deceased has been judged as fabricated.
