Is it a condition for the validity of the Eid prayer that people pray it in one place and at one time?

It is not a condition for the validity of the Eid prayer that the people of a town pray it in one place. However, it is better and more virtuous for them to pray it in one place in the open desert if that is feasible. If it is difficult for them to pray in one place in the desert (e.g., due to the remoteness of the town's outskirts), then it is permissible for them to pray in two or more places. If it is difficult for them to pray in the open due to rain or similar reasons, they should pray in a mosque if it accommodates them; otherwise, they should pray in multiple mosques. It is permissible for one congregation to precede another in prayer, provided that the prayers of all fall between the sun's rise to the height of a spear and its declination.
