What is the ruling, according to the Maliki school of thought, on someone who commits adultery in Ramadan after the Tarawih prayer?

Adultery is a heinous and grave sin, forbidden by the consensus of scholars, based on the Almighty's saying: "And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an indecency and an evil way," and the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "The adulterer does not commit adultery while he is a believer." Adultery committed in Ramadan (definition) carries a more severe punishment and a greater sin than adultery committed outside of it, because the gravity of a sin increases according to the time and place, as Al-Nafrawi Al-Maliki stated: "Sins are magnified by time and place," and Ibn Muflih Al-Hanbali said: "The increase in burden is like the increase in reward in magnified times and places." Therefore, the perpetrator must hasten to sincere repentance and increase seeking forgiveness and performing acts of obedience.
