The answer

A Muslim must divert their mind from obsessive thoughts, frequently seek refuge in Allah from Satan, occupy themselves with what benefits them, and associate with good people. Magnifying this matter and fearing to speak about it is a sign of faith. Allah has forgiven my ummah for what they merely think, as long as they do not speak of it or act upon it. This fear is pure faith because it indicates the completeness of faith and the rejection of doubts. So, whoever magnifies the obsessive thought, fears it, and pushes it away from their heart, that person possesses pure faith. Whoever trusts in Allah and seeks His help in repelling obsessive thoughts, they will be repelled from him, for the stratagem of Satan is weak. Seeking Islamic knowledge and reading books that affirm creed, such as "Kitab al-Tawhid" (Book of Monotheism), "Kitab al-Iman" (Book of Faith), and "Kitab al-Aqidah fi Allah" (Book of Creed concerning Allah), along with persistently remembering Allah, are among the most important means of repelling misconceptions and strengthening faith.
