Is what I am suffering—continuous injustices, lack of success, instability, and defeat in my life—a trial from Allah, or is it His wrath due to my poor relationship with my parents, and should I stop my attempts to relieve myself of this injustice?
The rights of parents are immense, no matter how much they may fall short in their duties towards their children. It is obligatory to show them dutifulness and to accompany them with kindness, especially the mother, while exercising wisdom and good manners to avoid any harm she might cause. Everything that afflicts a servant is by Allah's decree, and patience in the face of harm expiates sins. Affliction is not a sign of Allah's wrath; rather, it may be a sign of His love. When calamities strike, a servant must review their actions and renew their repentance from sins, for no tribulation descends except due to a sin, and none is removed except through repentance.
