Is it permissible to perform Hajj or Umrah while having large debts that will take many years to repay?

Financial capability is a prerequisite for Hajj. Therefore, whoever is burdened with a debt and his family prevents him from performing Hajj before settling it, he is considered not capable. However, if they do not demand it and are lenient, or if the debt has no specific repayment date, then he is permitted to perform Hajj, and it will be valid.
