What is the ruling on depriving women of their inheritance through societal pressure or by asking them if they want their share? Is it better to first divide the inheritance and then have the woman waive her share if she wishes? This is with a clarification of the ruling on a woman waiving her share if it deprives her rightful heirs of their legitimate right, and an explanation of God's warning to those who disobey Him and transgress His limits regarding inheritance.

Waving the inheritance under duress due to fear of abuse or ostracism is not valid. This is similar to the actions of the people of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance) who deprived women of inheritance, and Allah Almighty revealed the verse of inheritance in response to them and to invalidate their actions. Societies that abuse women if they demand their rights are societies that contain Jahiliyyah. Consuming people's wealth unjustly includes taking what the owner does not willingly give. Therefore, everyone must fear Allah and adhere to His limits.
