What is the ruling on offering a fidyah instead of fasting for the days one ate during Ramadan, and what is its amount for each day?

If a woman is able to fast, she must fast, and it is not permissible for her to substitute it with a fidyah (expiatory payment) unless she is ill with an illness from which recovery is not expected, or if she is elderly and unable to fast.
