The question

How sound is what is mentioned regarding the wonders of invoking blessings upon the Noble Messenger, that it "brings back your beloved," and "ten mercies descend upon you with every prayer," and "you attain the intercession of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) on the Day of Judgment," and "a light shines from your heart to illuminate your face," and "awe and dignity adorn your face," and "you feel pleasure, tranquility, and happiness"?

The answer

Sending blessings upon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is a noble act of worship, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, returns the greeting of anyone who sends blessings and salutations upon him. Among its virtues is that Allah the Almighty sends ten blessings upon the one who sends blessings upon the Prophet, meaning He bestows mercy upon him and multiplies his reward. It is also a cause for intercession if it is coupled with asking for al-Wasilah. As for the matter of a light emanating from the heart to illuminate the face, no authentic hadith has been reported concerning it, nor regarding awe and dignity. However, frequently sending blessings upon him suffices one's worries and forgives sins, and this leads to a feeling of happiness.
