To what extent is the story true regarding the death of Nimrod by a mosquito that entered his head because he prepared an army of monkeys to fight God, and is it permissible to circulate it?

Nimrod was the first tyrannical king to rule the entire earth and built the edifice in Babylon. He was the one who disputed with Abraham, peace be upon him, concerning his Lord. Books of exegesis and history mention him as Nimrod ibn Canaan. As for the story of the mosquito that entered his nostril and tortured him with hammers, it is an unverified report (khabar mursal) whose chain of narration is not authentic. Scholars have deemed it weak, but exegetes and historians have transmitted it for the lesson and admonition it provides regarding the end of oppressors and tyrants. There is no harm in narrating such Israelite stories as long as they are not attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
