If a husband says to his wife, "Woe to her, she is divorced," after she sees a man with his wife on television, is that considered a divorce?

Divorce is effected by the past tense verb. It is not valid with the present tense verb, imperative, or active participle. The divorce of one who jokes is serious, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There are three things whose seriousness is serious and whose joking is serious: marriage, divorce, and return (to marriage)." The utterance of the one who pronounces divorce, claiming he did not intend the meaning, is not taken into consideration. The questioner is advised not to pronounce divorce without necessity and to be aware of the harms of watching movies and TV series.
