Is the slaughter of a she-camel on a specific day each year and the distribution of its meat to the people of the town with the intention of charity, while naming this day after one of the saints, permissible or forbidden?

The naming of Eid comes from its recurrence every year with renewed joy. Eid in Islam is restricted to Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha only, and any other celebration is considered an innovation (bid'ah). Slaughtering for other than Allah is considered major polytheism (shirk akbar), whether it is to glorify the one for whom the slaughter is made, or in a place where other than Allah is glorified, or as an act of drawing closer to saints (awliya'). Their slaughtered animals are forbidden, and it is not permissible to eat from them. These annual sacrifices to the saint are major polytheism, and it is not permissible to participate in them in any way, neither by collecting money, nor by donating, nor by cooking, nor by eating from them.
