Am I to be blamed for listening to music with my siblings against my will, especially since I enjoy listening to it for old memories, even though I know it is forbidden and I avoid it when I am alone?

Not all singing is forbidden. What is forbidden is that which includes music, or is from a foreign woman to men, or contains indecent lyrics. Listening (istima') differs from merely hearing (sama'). Listening (istima') implies an intention to hear, while hearing (sama') is more general. Therefore, your listening to your siblings' songs, without musical instruments or indecent lyrics, is permissible. If you are compelled to hear forbidden songs due to shared accommodation, there is no blame on you if you turn away from them in your heart. However, your love for listening to songs to recall memories does not justify listening to forbidden songs.
