What is the conclusive proof that prohibits masturbation, especially with the existence of interpretations for verses such as: "And those who guard their private parts, except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed. But whoever seeks beyond that – then those are the transgressors," and with the existence of the noble Hadith: "O young men, whoever among you can afford to marry, let him do so, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding the private parts. And whoever cannot afford to do so, let him fast, for it will be a shield for him," and with its similarity to nocturnal emission, and some scholars permitting it, and not considering water as 'meheen' (contemptible) in His Almighty's saying: "Did We not create you from a despised water?"

There are clear Sharia (definition) proofs for the prohibition of masturbation. The Almighty's saying: (And those who guard their private parts, except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed – But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors) includes the prohibition of fulfilling lust in other than one's wife or what one's right hand possesses, and masturbation falls under this category.

Furthermore, the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) guidance to fast for those unable to marry, instead of masturbating, indicates its prohibition. If it were permissible, he would have guided to it due to its ease.

Nocturnal emission (wet dream) differs from masturbation as it is involuntary and considered a natural discharge without intervention, whereas masturbation is a voluntary act with negative effects on the body and soul.

The description of water as "contemptible" does not mean the permissibility of masturbation. "Contemptible" here means "weak," a description that highlights God's ability to create from weakness, and it does not remove a person's responsibility to guard their private parts.

"The transgressors" in the verse refers to those who overstep the limits of Allah and wrong themselves, and this applies to the one who masturbates, as they transgress from the lawful to the unlawful.
