Is it permissible for a girl to refuse marriage due to a private reason, or for fear of previous negative experiences, and is she sinful for that?

The question has been answered previously. However, if the girl fears marriage because she has witnessed negative situations involving some husbands, she should remember that there are many positive situations involving other husbands, and not every marriage ends in divorce or abuse. Al-Buhuti al-Hanbali clarified that marriage is obligatory for whoever fears committing zina (unlawful sexual intercourse), and women are like men in this ruling.
