What is the ruling on working on Fridays in a foreign country, which leads to missing the Friday prayer, while there is an opportunity to invite people to Islam?

It is permissible for a Muslim to hire himself out on a Friday if the contract is concluded before the time for prayer begins, provided that he does not miss attending Jumu'ah solely because of the hire. The hired person is permitted to miss Jumu'ah if he fears the loss of his property or the spoilage of his work. Prayer times are exempt from hire, and the hired person should shorten the prayer while completing it. If the employer prevents the hired person from attending Jumu'ah and he is unable to go, this is an excuse for him to miss it according to many scholars, but it is not permissible to contract with someone known to do this unless absolutely necessary. Being preoccupied with work is not an excuse for missing Jumu'ah, and inviting people to Islam is not an excuse for missing it, as fulfilling obligatory duties takes precedence.
