Is it permissible for a wife to treat her husband harshly and unkindly to compel him to return from travel?

A woman is commanded to treat her husband well, to adhere to good manners and respect with him, to be gentle, and to avoid harshness, because of his immense right over her. Men are guardians over women, and a husband's right is greater than the right of mothers and fathers. Harshness in treatment is a form of bad companionship, which is forbidden. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against a wife harming her husband. Her relationship with her husband is a cause for her entry into Paradise or Hellfire. If a wife has a right that her husband neglects, she should offer advice gently, with kindness and tenderness, to obtain it.
