How do we spiritually cultivate the youth according to the teachings of religion, and what is the ruling on this matter?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

It is a religious requirement to nurture the youth's conscience with the teachings of religion; for a young person who grows up in the worship of Allah is among the seven whom Allah will shade with His shade on the Day when there is no shade except His. This is achieved by strengthening their connection with Allah, encouraging them to be conscious of His constant watchfulness, and incorporating the texts of revelation into their educational curricula to firmly establish the love and obedience of Allah. Among the practical steps are: sincerity in seeking guidance, repentance and remorse, asking Allah for steadfastness, frequently reciting the Qur'an with contemplation, increasing faith and acts of obedience, acquiring beneficial knowledge, beginning the journey, advising oneself to persevere, staying away from bad company, not paying attention to people's displeasure, and being certain that this is the path to happiness in both worlds. The adherence of youth to religion is an obligation, and inviting them to it is a collective obligation (fard kifaya).
