Does God accept the repentance of an addict after he quits drugs and numerous sins? And are his sins erased despite people's view of him as a hypocrite?

The duty is sincere repentance that fulfills the conditions (abstaining, regretting, resolving not to return). Allah accepts the repentance of those who repent, transforms their evil deeds into good deeds, and forgives all sins. It is also necessary to continue performing acts of obedience and supererogatory acts, to choose righteous company that aids in good, and to disregard what people say.
