What type of tazkiyah (purification/spiritual development) is present in the Almighty’s saying: "And if it is said to you, 'Go back,' then go back"?

Al-Shawkani said: "It is purer for you," meaning better and cleaner from the defilement of contention over entering, due to the soundness of heart, distance from suspicion, and avoidance of baseness that it entails. Al-Baydawi said: "Returning is purer for you from what insistence and standing at the door cannot avoid, namely dislike and a lack of chivalry, or it is more beneficial for your religion and your worldly life." Thus, the purification intended is cleanliness from the defilement of insistence and contention over entering and persisting in it. Therefore, leaving the wait and departing is better and purer due to the soundness of hearts and distance from suspicion that it entails, or it is more beneficial and yields more good.
