Is the story of Asma bint Yazid's question to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about the status of women authentic?

This hadith is traced through three chains of transmission (from Asma bint Yazid, Ibn Abbas, and Jabir ibn Abdullah), all of which are weak.

- The hadith of Asma bint Yazid: Its chain of transmission is weak due to the anonymity of Abu Sa'id al-Sahili and the unknown status of Muslim ibn Ubayd's hearing from her. - The hadith of Ibn Abbas: Its chain of transmission is weak due to the weakness of Rushdin ibn Kurayb and al-Qasim ibn Fayyad. - The hadith of Jabir ibn Abdullah: Its chain of transmission is Munkar (denounced) due to Abu Isma'il al-Mu'addib being the sole narrator of this hadith, along with his numerous unusual narrations, the unknown status of his hearing from al-Hajjaj ibn Dinar, and the presence of suspicion that he took it from a liar or a delusion in the isnad (chain of transmission).

None of the early or later Imams whose opinions are considered authoritative in this field have authenticated or graded this hadith as Hasan (good).
