The answer

The acceptance of supplication has conditions, among them: supplicating Allah alone, not supplicating for a sin or severing ties of kinship, and the presence of the heart. For a supplication from a heedless heart is not answered. As for glorification (tasbih) and the like, its reward is attained even without the presence of the heart. However, it is better to combine verbal remembrance with the presence of the heart.
