It is permissible to enter into the state of Ihram for Hajj on the ninth day, whether performing Hajj Ifrad (single Hajj), Qiran (combined Hajj), or Tamattu' (interrupted Hajj). One can enter into Ihram, then go to the Haram, perform Tawaf and Sa'i, and then shorten the hair for the one performing Tamattu', or remain in Ihram for the one performing Ifrad or Qiran. It is permissible for the pilgrim to perform Sa'i after the Tawaf of Arrival (Tawaf al-Qudum), then go to Arafat, then spend the night in Muzdalifah, even if for a moment after midnight, then go to Mina for the Rami (stoning), then shorten the hair, then perform Tawaf al-Ifadah (the circumambulation of outpouring), then perform Sa'i for Hajj, if one is performing Tamattu', Qiran, or Ifrad and did not perform Sa'i after Tawaf al-Qudum.

It is permissible to return to Jeddah during the daytime of the Days of Tashriq after the Rami, then return to spend the greater part of the night in Mina. It is also permissible to delay all the Rami until the third day of the Days of Tashriq. The criterion for spending the night in Mina is staying there for the greater part of the night, not by the hour.
