Is it permissible to teach people how to commit evil and sins, including magic, while advising and warning them against it, by analogy with the two angels teaching magic while advising and warning against it with their saying: "We are but a trial, so do not disbelieve"?

Magic is pure evil, and teaching it is an act of disbelief (kufr) by consensus. Harut and Marut taught magic as a trial and tribulation for people, and they warned against disbelieving through it. Their teaching is not evidence for the permissibility of learning or teaching evil, for doubt is alluring. Books of magic must be destroyed, and it is not permissible to learn or practice it, because it is only achieved through the worship of devils and seeking help from jinn. Allah Almighty said about the two angels: "And they would not teach anyone until they had said, 'We are only a trial, so do not disbelieve.'" Teaching evil and sins is forbidden, because it is an invitation to them, and a Muslim must distance himself from the causes of temptation and evil.
