Scholars have spoken about the danger of intermingling and its harms, due to the strife it causes between the sexes. Therefore, the questioner should fear Allah and avoid places of intermingling as much as possible. If she is compelled, she should limit herself to what is necessary, with complete modesty, good manners, and decorum. She must avoid thinking about this man, and whenever a thought crosses her mind, she should seek refuge in Allah and divert her mind to thinking about what is beneficial. She should fulfill her husband's rights, beautify herself for him, and treat him kindly, and distance herself from the desire to divorce him, knowing that it is permissible for her to remain with her husband even if her desire for him has lessened, for the sake of raising the children. She must fulfill his rights and obey him if he requests her.
