Is it permissible for a man to marry again his virgin ex-wife, with whom he did not consummate the marriage, after he divorced her following a dispute with her father and gave her half of the dowry, or must she first marry someone else?

If a man divorces his wife with a single pronouncement, he may remarry her, and it is not a condition for her to marry another man before him. This condition (her marrying another man) is stipulated by the majority of scholars for someone who has divorced his wife with three pronouncements in a single utterance, in which case she becomes unlawful for him until she marries a husband other than him.
