Is a woman entitled to seek separation from her husband whom she does not love or feel convinced about, even if he is kind and loving, and they have a son? And is this considered displeasing to Allah, especially since she mentioned that Allah turns hearts and comes between a person and their heart, knowing that she has tried to accept and struggled with herself a lot, and fears Allah's wrath and facing people, and that her feelings have gone to someone else despite there being no interaction?

It is permissible for a woman to seek khul' (divorce initiated by the wife) if she fears she will not be able to observe Allah's limits with her husband, as did the wife of Thabit ibn Qays. This is supported by Allah's saying: ﴿And if you fear that they will not observe the limits of Allah, then there is no blame upon them for what she gives to free herself thereby.﴾ [Al-Baqarah: 229].

However, it is advised to turn to Allah to remove this affliction and to dispel the love for the other man, and to hold oneself accountable by weighing what one will lose from divorce against what one will gain from it, and to consider her fate after divorce.

It is not permissible to seek divorce due to an unlawful relationship. It is advised to be patient and to seek reward from Allah the Almighty, for "the greatness of the reward is with the greatness of the affliction," and "whom Allah wills good for, He afflicts him." And know that homes are not built with love alone, but with companionship based on Islam and good character.
