Is it permissible for a Muslim woman to marry a man of the People of the Book in the West, given the scarcity of Muslim young men proposing marriage, some of whom prefer to marry women of the People of the Book, the spread of vice, and the need for Muslim women to form families, taking into consideration that custody of the children goes to the mother in case of divorce and that the children are influenced by the mother's religion?

The marriage of a Muslim woman to a man of the People of the Book is impermissible by consensus, as it contradicts the explicit texts of the Holy Quran: (And never will Allah grant the disbelievers a way [of triumph] over the believers) and (And do not marry polytheistic men until they believe). As for the marriage of young Muslim men to disbelieving women, they must seek help from Muslims in Islamic lands to marry their daughters, or curb their desires through fasting or medication. And whoever is able to leave Western countries, then he should do so to protect his religion and honor.
