Is a divorce effected by the statement "By divorce, I will not enter the villa after today" if it is said to oneself in an audible voice and not conveyed to the wife?

Since the questioner did not go and did not swear an oath, nothing follows from that. It is advised to be keen on self-control and to beware of anger and being lenient in swearing by divorce, as it is an innovation, and it is like swearing by other than Allah, and it is the oath of the wicked. Marriage is a strong bond that should not be subjected to weakness. Allah Almighty said: "And how could you take it while you have gone into each other and they have taken from you a solemn covenant?"
