What is the ruling on hosting a person who is wearing a shirt with a cross or another symbol of disbelief, whether ignorantly or intentionally?

Wearing clothes that carry a cross symbol or a pagan emblem is disliked by the majority of scholars, and some have gone to the extent of prohibiting it. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to remove the traces of crosses from clothes and other items. As for hosting a disbeliever, it is originally permissible, and scholars have differed on the ruling of hospitality between being recommendable and obligatory. The Prophet's, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "Let none eat your food except a pious person," does not mean depriving the impious of kindness, but rather warns against associating with evil people.
