How should a wife deal with her husband who insists on engaging in sodomy with her, especially since he is asking for it again after childbirth, exploiting the postpartum period (nifas) due to her inability to refuse?

Intercourse with one's wife in the anus is forbidden by the Qur'an, Sunnah, and the consensus of the Ummah. It is one of the major sins, and a severe warning has been issued against it. The verse, "Your wives are a place of cultivation for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish," indicates that the "place of cultivation" refers to the place of childbirth, i.e., the front. Hadiths have been narrated describing the perpetrator of this act as an unbeliever and cursed, and that Allah will not look at him. This act is harmful to both the man and the woman, physically and psychologically; it darkens the face and hardens the heart, and it breeds hatred. The wife must refrain from this act, even if it necessitates her seeking a divorce, because it is an act of disobedience. In this case, she is not disobedient (nashiz), and she has the right to financial support.
