To what extent is the hadith "People are asleep, and when they die, they awaken" authentic?

This statement is from Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, and is not a Hadith, as mentioned by Mulla Ali al-Qari and Muhammad al-Hout.
