If the meats are from a country predominantly Muslim or people of the Book, they are pure and permissible. However, if the town includes Muslims and others whose slaughtered animals are forbidden, such as Zoroastrians or Buddhists, or if the slaughter is done by unlawful methods like stunning or strangulation, then the slaughtered animal is considered forbidden, its parts impure, and whatever it touches must be removed. If the sellers slaughter in an unlawful manner, then it is not permissible to eat from it.
