Is it permissible for a man to marry his daughter born of zina (fornication/adultery), and what is the truth of what was mentioned in Ibn Kathir's Tafsir (exegesis) of Surat At-Tahrim, Ayah 1, regarding this matter?

Scholars have differed on the issue of whether the water of zina (unlawful sexual intercourse) prohibits what the water of a valid marriage prohibits, or not, holding two views:

The first: The water of zina prohibits. This is the madhhab of the Hanafis and Hanbalis, and the well-known position of the Malikis. Based on this, it is not permissible for the fornicator to marry his daughter from zina.

The second: The water of zina does not prohibit. This is the madhhab of the Shafi'is and the view of Ibn al-Majishun from the Malikis. Based on this, it is permissible for a man to marry his daughter from zina.

The questioner believes that the view permitting marriage to a daughter from zina does not discredit Islam, because it has its evidence and proof.
