What is the ruling on commercial and social dealings with effeminate men who openly display their effeminacy, such as hiring them for work or buying from them, and what should be done if it is known that they prepared the food or served the guests at an occasion?
If effeminate men [mukhannathun] are those who voluntarily imitate women in their movements and dress, and they desire to have abominable acts [fahisha] committed with them, then they are criminals and cursed by the tongue of the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Muslims must shun them, denounce them, and avoid associating with them. If a person finds himself in a place where such individuals are present, he should avert his gaze and denounce them as much as possible.
