What is the ruling on group or individual anasheed (Islamic songs) in the Maliki madhhab?

Anasheed, in their contemporary understanding, can be considered akin to singing without musical instruments. The relied-upon position in the Maliki school of thought is that forbidden singing is that which involves an instrument or is performed by someone whose voice causes delight. Otherwise, it is disliked, as mentioned by An-Nafrawi in "Al-Fawakeh Ad-Dawani" and Al-Hattab in "Mawahib Al-Jalil."
