Is it permissible for a man's son from another wife to marry the daughter of his father's wife, whom his father begot from her?

It is permissible for a man to marry his stepmother's daughter from another man, because there is no prohibited kinship between them. She is a stranger to him, and he is a stranger to her, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And lawful for you are [all others] beyond these."
