Is it recommended to supplicate at the word “wa l-yatalattaf” (and let him be courteous) in Surat Al-Kahf because it is the middle of the Qur’an?

The notion that the word "وَلْيَتَلَطَّفْ" (wal-yatalattaf) marks the middle of the Qur'an is a matter of scholarly disagreement. There is no sound or weak religious evidence—to our knowledge—that supports the desirability of supplicating (making du'a) at this word, or at the midpoint of the Qur'an in general. Nor has any scholar stated that this is desirable.
