How can a student specializing in "Information Systems Security" and "Computer Systems Hacking" make his knowledge purely for the sake of Allah Almighty and beneficial to Islam and Muslims, and is his pursuit of knowledge for a worldly position or status considered among the prohibited?

Learning worldly sciences that people need for their interests and livelihoods, such as computer science, is considered an act of worship if the intention behind it is to support Islam and benefit Muslims, and it is a communal obligation (fard kifaya). There is no harm in seeking it to obtain a job, money, or status, for this is permissible without reward in the Hereafter. However, if one intends by it to draw closer to Allah and suffice the Muslims, then he is rewarded according to his intention, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, actions are by intentions, and indeed every person will have what he intended." Thus, intention transforms permissible acts into acts of obedience.
